About us
StimaBox supplies solar power equipment for homes, shops and farms across Kenya. We sell portable power stations, home energy storage systems, LiFePO4 batteries, hybrid solar inverters and solar panels. Behind the shop is a team with more than 10 years of experience with electrical and technical equipment.
We started this shop for a simple reason. Power cuts cost people time, stock and income. Good equipment solves that problem, but only when it is the right size and comes from someone who understands it and will still answer the phone after the sale.
More than 10 years with electrical equipment
Our team has worked with electrical and technical equipment for more than a decade. That experience shapes how we sell. We look at what you want to power, how many hours you need it and how you will charge it. Only then do we suggest a product.
We know that a product label does not tell the whole story. So we check the details that matter in daily use:
- Output power (W). This decides which appliances can run at the same time. Fridges, pumps and power tools need extra power for a moment when they start, so we leave room for that.
- Battery capacity (Wh). This decides how many hours your appliances will run. We work it out from your real usage, not from the biggest number on the box.
- Pure sine wave or modified sine wave. Fridges, TVs, laptops and motors need pure sine wave power to run safely and quietly. Some smaller models also come in a lower-cost modified sine wave version, which is fine for lights, phones and fans. We tell you which one your appliances need.
- LiFePO4 battery chemistry. LiFePO4 cells last for thousands of charge cycles and are more stable than ordinary lithium batteries. That is why we chose it for the batteries we sell.
- Solar charging. Kenya has strong sun for most of the year. We match the panel size to the battery, so it can charge fully in a normal day.
Direct from the manufacturer
We work directly with the factory that makes LANX products. There are no middlemen between the factory and our shop. This matters to you in three ways:
- Fair prices. Without extra layers of resellers, we can keep prices lower for the same equipment.
- The full range. Most models come in several power and capacity options. We can offer the exact configuration you need, not only what happens to be on a shelf.
- Real technical information. When you have a question about a model, we get the answer from the people who make it.
What you can expect from us
- Honest advice. If a smaller model does the job, we tell you. We would rather sell you the right product than the most expensive one.
- No payment before confirmation. We call you to confirm the configuration, the price and the delivery before anything is sent.
- A shop you can visit. You can collect your order from our shop in Nairobi and see the equipment before you take it home.
- Help after you buy. Call or email us if you have a question about setup or use. If a product has a manufacturing defect, we repair, replace or refund it, as described on our Returns and warranty page.
How ordering works
- You place your order online on this website.
- We call you to confirm the configuration, the price and the delivery.
- You collect the order from our Nairobi shop, or we send it by courier to your address.
- You pay by M-Pesa or in cash on delivery.
